How admission works
The school is one of the two Redbridge grammar schools and admits through the Redbridge 11+, using two GL Assessment multiple-choice papers: one covering English and verbal reasoning, the other maths and non-verbal reasoning. You must live within the schools' common catchment area to be offered a place.
Woodford reserves 45 places (25%) for Pupil Premium girls within the common catchment area. Ties are settled by the shortest measured walking distance along public roads and recognised footpaths from home to the school's main entrance, not by straight-line distance. The school notes that in practice no places are awarded outside the catchment area.
