- School type: Independent day school

How admission works
Entry at 11+ is by four written papers: English (60 minutes), Maths (45 minutes), Verbal Reasoning (50 minutes) and Non-Verbal Reasoning (20 minutes). The school says the aim of the assessments is to test a child's ability to think for herself, and that it is not necessary, or even helpful, for her to be heavily tutored. Families applying for financial assistance must say so when they complete the application, and the school then sends a link to a confidential bursary application form. Withington is part of a consortium of Greater Manchester independent schools that send out their offers on the same day.
