How admission works
Kent's grammar schools admit through the Kent Test, part of the county's procedure for entry to secondary education (PESE). A child must be found suitable for a grammar school through the Kent Test to be considered for a place, and each school then applies its own admissions criteria when it has more suitable applicants than places.
After looked-after children, the school gives priority to a sibling already at the school when the child starts, then to medical, social and special access cases, and then by straight-line distance from home to school.
