How admission works
Entry at 11+ is by written Maths and English papers, a computer-adaptive Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning assessment and a one-to-one interview with a senior member of teaching staff. Around 120 pupils join Year 7 each year. About half come from Eltham College Junior School, whose pupils can move up without further assessment. The other half come from Blackheath Prep and more than 30 other schools. Blackheath Prep pupils have a priority-entry arrangement that the school says is not available to any other feeder school, and all other applicants go through the standard competitive process.
