How admission works
Buckinghamshire's grammar schools admit through the Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test. It is a single stage of two papers, each about 60 minutes, taken on the same day, and it covers verbal, non-verbal and mathematical skills. Each area is scored for age and the three scores are added together to give one test score. Children at Buckinghamshire state primary schools are entered automatically. Others register with Buckinghamshire Council.
Dr Challoner's High reserves up to 12 Year 7 places (within its PAN of 180) for catchment girls on Pupil Premium or looked-after status scoring at least 115; if unfilled, up to 6 of those places go instead to girls scoring 110-114. The school's distance tie-break is measured to its main entrance on Cokes Lane.
