How admission works
Kent's grammar schools admit through the Kent Test, part of the county's procedure for entry to secondary education (PESE). A child must be found suitable for a grammar school through the Kent Test to be considered for a place, and each school then applies its own admissions criteria when it has more suitable applicants than places.
Dartford Grammar School for Girls reserves 100 of its Year 7 places specifically for girls living in the Borough of Dartford or one of ten named surrounding parishes, including Swanley, Hartley, Eynsford, Farningham and West Kingsdown, before any remaining places are offered to other eligible girls regardless of address.
