History and background

How admission works
Girls are eligible for a Year 7 place if they reach the qualifying score of 121 in the Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test, or are found qualified through a Selection Review. The test has two papers of about an hour each, taken on the same day, covering verbal, non-verbal and mathematical skills. Each area is scored for age and the three scores are added together.
Six places within the admission number are set aside for girls in the school's catchment who receive Pupil Premium or are looked after and who score between 115 and 120. When more qualified girls apply than there are places, offers go in this order:
- Looked-after children in the catchment.
- Pupil Premium girls in the catchment.
- The 115 to 120 places.
- Sisters of current pupils.
- Children of staff.
- Girls living in the catchment.
- Everyone else.
Ties are broken by straight-line distance to the school's main gate on Walton Road.
Girls at Buckinghamshire state primary schools are entered for the test automatically. Others register with Buckinghamshire Council.
